Dre Régina Bizzarro
BSc, OD - Optometrist
Dr. Regina Bizzarro obtained her bachelor's in physiology from McGill University (1996) with a major in neurophysiology. She then completed her doctorate in optometry at the University of Montreal (1999).
During her university studies, she conducted research on nociception and glaucoma. From 1999 to 2004, she was a member of a research group at the Maisonneuve-Rosemont Hospital (HMR), directed by Dr. M. R. Lesk, with a primary focus on glaucoma. She has authored various abstracts and other publications on glaucoma.
In 2003, she received the "young optometrist of the year" award.
Dr. Bizzarro has practiced at the Bélanger Clinic since 1999. She has also been a clinic manager at the University of Montreal since 2006. She is a member of the committee that writes the questions for the ocular therapeutics exam offered by the Canadian Standard Assessment in Optometry (CSAO).
